My Games for Furnace 2023

Here are the details of my three games using Fria Ligan’s Year Zero Engine.
The first is my scenario for Vaesen that uses a creeping dread as the session progresses, some shocking revelations as we delve into Norse mythology. We have Freyja, the Vanir, the Einherjar, and the Curse of the Mark of the Web of Wyrd.
The second scenario is a Star Trek game using the Year Zero Engine. It pits the new crew of the Enterprise-G (following on from the events of Star Trek Picard series 3) against an old foe from the Next Generation era. It will be horrific.
There is no requirement to have seen any of the latest Star Trek series to play.
The third game is Alien, using some very alpha characters from multiple Sci-Fi films as player characters. We have Sean Connery and Frances Sternhagen from Outland, Roy Schneider from 2010, Charlton Heston from Planet of the Apes, Kurt Russell from Soldier, and both Michael Ironside and Brenda Strong from Starship Troopers. Plus we have Replicants from Blade Runner as the baddies and the game will hopefully have starship combat as a major part of the scenario.

A student and gentleman of the esteemed Swedish historian and poet, Professor Erik Gustaf Geijer, the poet that brought the word “Viking” into common parlance, has written to the Society pleading for help. This young student, Baron Gustaf Wilhelm Leuhusen, feels he has a Doom upon him. Men who worked on the archeological dig at the old Norse burial mounds at Old Uppsala have all been violently slaughtered and he believes he is next.
Can the Society help? Does it have to do with the strange cuts on the Baron’s arm? And why are there soldiers wandering the streets of Uppsala dressed in the old uniforms of the Napoleon Wars?

Captain’s Log Stardate 79766.17
We were on route to Pacifica when we were interrupted by a Code 47 (Captain’s Eyes Only) call from Starfleet Admiralty. I’ve been ordered to take the Enterprise to the Perintha system, site of the Iconian Research Taskforce. There are no further details to the orders but my intuition is that they are wanting to send the Enterprise through the ancient Iconian Catapult Device in orbit of Perintha Prime to be thrown instantaneously beyond the known Galaxy to the distant outreaches of deep space.
Nothing new for me then!

“One slippery son-of-a-gun, that ship. It’s flipped it’s transponder a couple of times, turned about, changed headings, and the engine signature been fiddled with too. But we’ve got it, merchant freighter Gratzner heading out of New Oslo. It’s going to be wild goose chase but the case is whack job, total termination of all criminals. Oh, yeah they’re skin-jobs too. Top military grade Replicants.
“Now get to your stations or I might just kick your nasty ass all over this room. That's a marshal joke.”
