There are many celebrations of all things Vampires, Dracula, and Bela Lugosi occurring in Derby. One of them, Vampire Games Day, I’m running a Vaesen RPG mystery involving vampires and 19th Century Scandinavian player characters in the artic circle.

Vampire Games Day takes place in the Victorian Warwick Library built in 1879. +

As members of a secret society you have been tasked to investigate the current lack of communication with the astronomer Hugo Gyldén who is  at his celestial observatory deep in the arctic circle.

Time is of the essence as the last communication from Gyldén, accompanied by Purple Saxifrage flowers, mentioned a Lord Ruthven. Information in the files deep in your occult library speculates Ruthven is a 100 year old vampyre!

You have been tracking Vaesen down and dispelling them on your own over the years but you are struggling with past traumas, dark dreams, and sense of existential dread.

Now a letter invites you to join a Secret Society to continue your life’s work as you still have far to go.

But as you head towards the castle, home of the Society, why are the skies full of ravens and crows?

Dragonmeet - Call to Adventure! A Free Convention

There’s a FREE-TO-ENTER RPG and Board games conven tion at Kensington Town Hall, London at the end of April 2025.

The focus is to get new people and young people involved in the hobby, and this is a great opportunity for these to try games out.

Two councils, City of Westminster and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, are providing this event for free along side Dragonmeet and their exhibitors.
